Terms and conditions

1. About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [TRNR legal entity name], a company registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt ("TRNR", "we", "us"). They apply when you use the TRNR website or apps (the "Service") as a player, a coach or a venue. By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. What TRNR does

TRNR is a marketplace. It lets players find and book coaches, and lets coaches find and book courts at venues. Coaches and venues are independent: they are not our employees, agents or partners, and they are responsible for the sessions and facilities they provide. TRNR is not a party to the agreement between a player and a coach, or between a coach and a venue, except for collecting deposits and handling refunds as set out below.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 18 to create an account. A parent or guardian may book sessions for a child under 18 and is responsible for that booking.
• Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
• Keep your login details private. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person or business per account. Do not create accounts for someone else without their permission.

4. Bookings and deposits

• Request. A player picks one or more open slots and sends a request. Sending a request is free and does not commit either side.
• Reply. The coach accepts or declines. Requests the coach does not answer expire on their own.
• Commit. After the coach accepts, the player taps Commit now and pays the deposit shown on screen. The booking is confirmed only once the deposit is paid.
• Remaining balance. Unless the app says otherwise, the player pays the rest of the session price directly to the coach after the session.
• Court. Unless agreed otherwise in the chat, the coach is responsible for arranging the court.

All prices are in Egyptian pounds (EGP) and are shown before you pay.

5. Cancellation policy

If the player cancels

• 24 hours or more before the session: the deposit is refunded in full.
• Less than 24 hours before the session, or no-show: the deposit is not refunded and goes to the coach for holding the slot.

If the coach cancels

• The player gets the full deposit back, whenever the coach cancels.
• Coaches who cancel often or fail to show up may have their profile hidden or their account suspended.

Rescheduling and things outside anyone's control

• A player and coach can agree in the chat to move a session. If both confirm the new time in the app, the deposit carries over.
• If a session cannot go ahead because of severe weather, a venue closure or another event outside both sides' control, the player gets the deposit back or can reschedule.

Refunds

Refunds go back to the original payment method. They usually arrive within 5 to 14 business days, depending on the payment provider. If something went wrong with a session, contact us within 7 days and we will look into it.

Coach and venue bookings

Bookings between coaches and venues follow the cancellation terms shown on the venue's listing at the time of booking. If a venue shows none, the same 24-hour rule applies.

6. For coaches

• We check your national ID and coaching certificates before your profile goes live. You confirm that the documents and credentials you give us are genuine and that you are qualified to coach the sports you list.
• Keep your open slots and prices accurate. Only accept requests you can honour.
• You are responsible for your own taxes, permits and insurance, and for running sessions safely.
• Do not ask players to pay deposits or arrange bookings outside TRNR for sessions you met through TRNR.

Our checks lower risk but cannot rule it out. A verified badge means we reviewed the documents provided; it is not a guarantee of a coach's skill or conduct.

7. For venues

• Your listing, photos, location, prices and open slots must be accurate and kept up to date.
• You confirm you have the right to rent out the courts and facilities you list, and that they are safe and properly maintained.
• Honour bookings you confirm, and tell the coach as early as possible if a court becomes unavailable.

8. Fees and payouts

Joining TRNR is free for players, coaches and venues. We may charge a service fee on bookings; any fee is shown clearly before you pay or, for coaches and venues, agreed before it applies. Deposits collected for coaches and venues are paid out to the payout details on their account, minus any applicable fees, on the schedule shown in the app. Payments are processed by licensed third-party providers and may also be subject to their terms.

9. Conduct

When using TRNR, do not:

• harass, threaten, discriminate against or abuse anyone;
• post false, misleading or illegal content, or impersonate someone else;
• share other people's personal data without their permission;
• use the Service for anything other than arranging sports sessions and venue bookings;
• copy, scrape, reverse engineer or disrupt the Service, or try to get around its security.

10. Your content

You keep ownership of the photos, text, reviews and messages you post. You give TRNR a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and share that content within the Service and in promoting it, for as long as it is on the Service. Make sure you have the rights to anything you upload. Reviews must reflect a real session. We may remove content that breaks these terms. The TRNR name, logo and app are ours and you may not use them without our permission.

11. Sport and safety

Sport carries a risk of injury. Tell your coach about any health conditions or injuries that matter, and do not train if you are unwell. Coaches and venues are responsible for running sessions and providing facilities safely. To the extent the law allows, TRNR is not responsible for injuries or loss arising during a session or at a venue.

12. Liability

We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but we provide it "as is" and cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent the law allows, TRNR is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for the acts or omissions of players, coaches or venues. Our total liability to you for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the amount you paid through TRNR for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Egyptian law, including for fraud or gross negligence.

You agree to cover reasonable losses TRNR suffers because you broke these terms or the law.

13. Suspension and closing your account

You can close your account at any time in the app, once any confirmed bookings are completed or cancelled. We may suspend or close an account, or hide a profile or listing, if it breaks these terms, puts other users at risk, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt. If you have a problem, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be handled by the competent courts of Cairo, without affecting any consumer rights you have under Egyptian law.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the Service changes. We will post the new version here and update the date at the top. If the changes are significant we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
